My name is Anja (pronounced "Ania"), or Anja Kyra. I am a passionate-empathetic-outdoor freak-creative soul and I love telling stories through images and words.

I have been creating for as long as I can remember: pictures, illustrations, furniture, clothes, ceramics, stories, songs, poems, paintings, and anything that would spark my imagination. I draw inspiration from the wild, diverse places I've traveled to or lived in, deep connections, self-growth, music, forests, plants, and animals. Windy days are my favorite. Uncharted places, animals, forests, and music are my safe havens.

Art is a way for me to share my sensitivity, my view of the world, or an illusion of how I wish the world could be.

With a Swiss French root wrapped in an English-speaking background, picked straight from Canadian territories where I spent the first years of my childhood surrounded by infinite forests, lakes, wolves, moose, bears and maple syrup, I am always eager to go on adventures, say yes to new opportunities, embrace the unknown and grow deep connections. Creating, surrounding myself with nature, experiencing, traveling to as well as living in different countries (life added Germany and the Netherlands to the list) has helped me know myself better every day and shaped me into the person I am today.

Art and nature are my sanctuaries, and merging them is a therapeutic process for me.
As you can see, a significant part of my work features horses prominently.
They embody a blend of strength, grace, and sensitivity that resonates deeply with me. They often symbolize freedom and harmony with nature. Also, I believe the time and patience required to understand, live and communicate with horses kind of mirrors the dedication I have for my art and the life I aspire to live, making them a powerful source of motivation and inspiration.

· started freelancing sporadically from the age of 16 with photography

· graduated with a Bachelor in Art Direction from a College of Communication Arts & Digital Marketing which gave me a first real taste of the communication world and added foundation to my skills as well as my creative and analytical mind

· went back to school to study UX Design while working in tech
​
· joined a Full-Stack Web Development course in Amsterdam as I wanted to get a deeper understanding of the web and keep on enlarging the variety of field experience in my career
​
· work fully remote and in three languages: French, English and German
